Solar Possibilities - Photovoltaic technology is not suitable for powering typical, heavy, inefficient cars and transportation vehicles at this time. If cars are designed properly, such as lightweights (~ 200 Kg) using carbon fibers, low profile tyres to reduce contact friction, low frontal area that hits the wind, then photovoltaics can supply enough energy.
